A travel expert's role is to help people plan, choose and arrange their holiday. They will usually work to a budget set out by whoever is planning the holiday. They also offer advice and opinions on where to go and local tourist attractions, events and customs.

Typical duties include:

  • 1. Promoting and Marketing the business.
  • 2. Dealing with customer queries and concerns
  • 3. Planning & Selling holidays
  • 4. Maintaining statistical and financial records
  • 5. Providing advice about visas or passports
  • 6. Co-ordinating with operations for smooth conduction of trips
  • 7. Meeting profit or sales targets
  • 8. Preparing promotional materials and displays
OVERVIEW

A degree in any subject is acceptable, although travel, tourism, languages, leisure, business studies or management degree holders may be at an advantage.

 

EXPERIENCE
  • 1. Minimum 1 year of experience in the hospitality/tourism/aviation industry.
  • 2. People who have worked at a travel company/agency
  • 3. Should know the basics about itinerary, holiday planning & package tours.
  • 4. Should have creative mind set and good learning adaptibility.
  • 5. Should know how to engage with people and must have good vocational skills.

  • 1. Should be less than 28 yrs of age.
  • 2. Should have own laptop.
  • 3. Incase of working from home, should have internet connection of not less than 30 MBPS
  • 4. Should have own phone with dual sim.
  • 5. Should be able to work in a flexible environment.
